The maths
The FIBA 3x3 Federation Ranking is calculated by adding up the FIBA 3x3 Individual World Ranking points of the Top 50 nationals with a confirmed play.fiba3x3.com account. It not only rewards the elite performances of the players but also the 3x3 activity in the territory of each National Federation. It is calculated daily at 12h00 UTC.
The concept
The position in the 3x3 Federation Ranking is driven by the number of players and their playing frequency. The more events are organised the more likely players will accumulate points and increase the national federation's standing in the Ranking.
Ranking and COVID-19
- All rankings were frozen from April 1, 2020 to April 1, 2021.
- From April 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021, all players will benefit from the ranking points earned in the last 12 months as normal and transitionally benefit from a 12-month extension for the ranking points earned before the freezing of the ranking on April 1, 2020
- From October 1, 2021, the rankings will be calculated as normal, based on the last 12 months.
The role
