Olympics - Competition System Graphic

The 3x3 Olympic tournament is played on 1 main court.

It starts with all 8 teams (per gender) in one single pool.

Every team plays each other (2 pool games per day on Day 1, 2, 3 and their last pool game on Day 4).

The teams ranked 7th and 8th in the pool are eliminated.

Those who finished 1st and 2nd are directly qualified for the semi-finals.

Those who finished 3rd to 6th meet in 2 different qualifying quarter finals, which will take place at the end of Day 4.

Day 5 is dedicated to the semi-finals and the medal games.

The event is structured in 17 different sessions of 4 games (2 women’s and 2 men’s games + entertainment). There are 4 sessions on Day 1, 2 and 3; 3 sessions on Day 4 and 2 sessions on Day 5).
