Top 10 players to watch at FIBA 3x3 Marseille Masters

MARSEILLE (France) - The first-ever FIBA 3x3 Marseille Masters is going to be lit with some of the best players on the planet ready to put on a show. 

After a month's breather from the World Tour, these superstars are raring to go so let's look at the top 10 to watch at the third stop on this season's schedule. 

Strahinja Stojacic (Ub Huishan NE)

'Doctor Strange' won the first two Masters MVPs and will start favorite to claim a hat-trick in Marseille. 

He right now holds the belt in 3x3 - Stojacic has been the best player in the game and the Ub superstar is still getting better. 

Stojacic is No.1 in almost every major stats category to start the season and this moustached menace is on a run that might be the greatest ever in World Tour history. 

It's gotten to a point where it would be a shock if Stojacic doesn't walk off with the MVP such his domination of the half-court. 

Quincy Diggs (Vienna)

He's the No.1 ranked  American for good reason with Diggs bursting onto the scene spectacularly last year. 

The 6ft. 6in (1.98m) athletic marvel was unstoppable at the Utsunomiya Opener with 32 points to lead Vienna to the semis. 

The Austrians haven't been seen since and we've waited patiently to see Diggs go toe-to-toe with 3x3's best.

It'll be worth the wait because Quincy Diggs is about to go up another level. 

Dennis Donkor (Antwerp TOPdesk)

Dennis 'the Menace' lives up his nickname because no one plays lockdown D on the perimeter better than him. 

He loves shutting down scorers, but Donkor isn't just a one-way player. The 6ft. 4in (1.94m) Belgian can also stuff the stats and score whenever he wants to. 

Donkor is also the spark that gets Antwerp going with his passion infectious for his teammates and he's willed them to Ws numerously. 

There won't be anyone wanting it more in Marseille than Dennis Donkor.

Worthy de Jong (Amsterdam HiPRO)

He may have switched teams, but that hasn't stopped this high-flying Dutchman from continuing being a human highlight reel. 

This dude puts on a dunking exhibition every time he plays, but he's much more than that with de Jong's smooth stroke making him a threat from inside and outside. 

The 6ft. 4in (1.94m) de Jong is averaging an insane 8.8 ppg - more than anyone else - so far on the World Tour but he won't be satisfied until he leads Amsterdam to glory.

Franck Seguela (Paris)

He's going to fly the French flag proudly and make the pretty port city of Marseille his personal party spot. 

With the hopes of his compatriots behind him, this 6ft. 7in (2m) excitement machine won't disappoint.

Seguela is blessed with great handles, athleticism and a pretty J - the type of package that will make him the center of attention in Marseille. 

Niklas Kropp (Dusseldorf LFDY)

You want a new kid on the block? Then let me introduce you to Niklas Kropp, who might just be the breakout player this season having crossed over to Dusseldorf LFDY. 

The 25-year-old Kropp is just plain unfair. He might look lanky, but he's a 3x3 assassin with the towering Kropp boasting insane handles and his lethal lefty can bury two-pieces from the logo. 

 Stardom is waiting for a dude who has already won a Challenger MVP and he now has his eyes set on top honors at a Masters. 

 Przemyslaw Zamojski (Warsaw Lotto)

After he single-handedly helped his country win bronze at FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup 2021, Zamojski has had mixed fortunes since but the Pole is ready to return to his best.

Much like Poland 3x3 legend Michael Hicks, Zamojski has similar swagger on the half-court and can score from anywhere. 

The 6ft 4in (1.94m) Pole might bring a storm to Marseille, so you better pack an umbrella if you're attending. 

Natan Jurkovitz (Fribourg)

This dude is a Swiss OG having been a fan favorite for years. And it's easy to see why with the big fella one of the best in game dunkers the half-court has ever seen. 

The 6ft. 7in (2.02m) Jurkovitz bulldozes through opponents and dunks the rim so hard you feel like it's going to break. 

His boundless energy might just fuel a giant-killing run for underdog Fribourg.

Malik Hluchoweckyj (Jeddah)

This American is all entertainment and is out to make an impression in his debut on the big stage for Jeddah having previously helped put Omaha 3BALL (USA) on the map. 

The 26-year-old loves taking center stage and he's one confident dude - especially when he has the Wilson in his hands.

Watch out for his first step because he can get to the rim quicker than you can pronounce his surname.

Lorenzo Thirouard-Samson (Marseille)

The next big thing in French 3x3 represents hometown heroes Marseille's best chance of a memorable run. 

High-flying Thirouard-Samson was named MVP at the FIBA 3x3 Nations League Final 2022 after leading France in points and finishing third overall in the scoring charts.

The 22-year-old is now making his World Tour debut and you better believe the hype because this dude is the real deal.

He plays above the rim and will no doubt get the passionate home fans jumping out of their seats when he does something ridiculous.
