Amsterdam HiPRO favorites heading into FIBA 3x3 Neom Challenger 2023

31 Oct 2023

NEOM (Saudi Arabia) - Amsterdam HiPRO (NED) will have targets set on them at the FIBA 3x3 Neom challenger on November 2 - 4.

THE CONTENDERS

It’s been a tough road for team Amsterdam in the World Tour circuit, but the team has been making waves in the Challengers. Heading into Neom off the back of a win at Al Bidda Park Challenger followed by a narrow loss in Taipei, the top-seeded Amsterdam will be looking to get back to winning ways. It’s gonna be Worthy De Jong yet again who has been on-fire all season. He’ll be joined by Jan Driessen, Julian Jaring and Norbert Thelissen. With a spot at the Hong Kong Masters at stake, the Dutch side will be coming out blazing.

They won’t be without competition though as they’ll have to contend with the likes of Princeton (USA) who have shown signs of threat every time they take to the court. Led by the lethal Henry Caruso along with Zahir Carrington, Jerome Desrosiers and Damon Huffman. The daring Princeton side has been clutch all season and will look to book their spot at the Hong Kong Masters in Neom.

The duo of Vladimir Trajkovic and Goran Vidovic will take to the court once again as Hangzhou (CHN) will look to book their spot in Hong Kong. Milos Milovanovic and Milos Supica will complete the Serbian quartet as the deadly side will look to come up clutch.

Home side Jeddah (KSA) will revel in support led by Kevin Corre. Raad Barnawi, Malik Hluchoweckyj and Ovidijus Varanauskas complete the squad who have been a force to reckon with recently. Perhaps dark horses to win it all, they will have their sights set on yet another Masters appearance.

THE FIELD

The Przemyslaw Zamojski-led Warsaw Lotto (POL) have yet to achieve success this season but have shown signs of brilliance. They can make buckets at will and can catch fire all the way to glory.

If you’re one for highlights, look no further than Hannover (GER) spearheaded by the high-flying duo of Sidi Beikame and Denzel Agyeman. Do not blink when they get in action!

Nil Bria and Sant Feliu (ESP) will be a fun bucket-getting side to keep an eye on as well. Neom has plenty of action in store as we look to bookend the challengers in style.
