Lithuanian lead FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League U21 conference

VOIRON (France) - It was a strong start to the U21 conference of the FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League for the Lithuanians, as both the men and the women sit atop the rankings following the first three stops of the event in Voiron, France on August 6-8, 2021.

 

Here are the standings after Stop 3:

Lithuania: 270 pts
Netherlands: 250 pts
Israel: 200 pts
Czech Republic: 185 pts
Germany: 155 pts
Mongolia: 155 pts

Women
Lithuania: 270 pts
Israel: 230 pts
Germany: 210 pts
Netherlands: 190 pts
Czech Republic: 180 pts
Mongolia: 135 pts

On the women’s side, Lithuania have a slight lead over Israel with Germany in 3rd place. Lithuania’s lead is notable but equally as impressive as their offensive output thus far. They are averaging 18.3 points per game, three points higher than the next team. If they continue at this pace, they’re destined to win the conference. So far, they have two first-place finishes and a third, with an 87% winning percentage.

 

The men are also putting up an equally impressive run, winners of Stops 1 and 2, in addition to the third-place finish at Stop 3. The Netherlands and Israel are right behind them, and with Jerome Palm and Roy Paretsky lighting up the score sheets, Dominykas Stenionis, and the team will have to fend them off over the final three stops.
