PHILIPPINES (FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2018) - Canadian sharpshooter Steve Sir probably felt his hands smoking hot after he torched the nets on Day 2 at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2018.
Sir's shooting was not only red hot - it was white hot! The 35-year-old sank a total of 7 two-pointers on Day 2, leading Canada to an immaculate 2-win, 0-loss slate. He unloaded 9 points on Mongolia in their first game before dropping the mic against Russia with a dozen points. His total by day's end was a mind-boggling 21 points.
In the women's category, Liudmila Sapova mightily impressed with 18 points total. The Russia star tossed in 8 points against Uganda to open the day and made Andorra pay with 10. Joining her at the top of Day 2 was Italy's Giulia Rulli, who also notched 18 points. The 6ft 1in (1.85m) Italian sensation had 7 points against Malaysia, but she really shone bright like a diamond against Turkmenistan by tallying 11. Rulli's teammate Rae Lin D'alie also did well with 17 points for the day.
