This said, France took the lead in Pool C after back-to-back wins before the limit over Mongolia (22-6) and Czech Republic (21-10). And we're already drooling over this Japan - France clash on Day 4.

In the other pool, FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League 2017 got two W's against hosts China (16-15) and Uganda (14-8) to headline Pool A. They took down Romania (12-9) and shocked the hosts China on the last game of the day (11-8).

In the men's category, France and Russia, two of the favorites to lift the trophy finished undefeated in Pool B. 'Les Bleus' wasted no time with a 22-4 success over Kyrgyzstan and another win before the limit against Egypt (22-10). Russia handed out two 22-13 defeats against the Netherlands and Kyrgyzstan.

Last, but not least, Ukraine ruled in Pool D with two big wins over Romania (22-15) and Chinese Taipei (20-14). Seconds are Romania, who defeated Czech Republic in a 21-20 thriller.
