FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup 2015 MVP Berkani to make 3x3 comeback at U23 Nations League Final

HYDERABAD (FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League) - Three years after winning gold and the MVP award at the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup, France rising star Lisa Berkani will make her return to the 3x3 scene at the FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League Final in Hyderabad, India on September 21-22, 2018.

 
The 21-year-old - who was on the extended roster for the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018 - joins a French team, that started the U23 Nations League on a 17-game winning streak but lost 2 of their last 4 games.

Hyderabad plays host to the last 2 stops of the U23 Nations League, which bring together the best teams from both the Europe and the Africa and Asia conferences.

In the women's category, France and China are currently tied with 540 points apiece (but France is ranked #1 based on winning percentage (90,5% vs. 90% for China), with a comfortable lead over Mongolia (420), Hungary (415) and Ukraine (410).

Berkani brings plenty of skills to the French team. After all the 5ft 7in (1.75m) - who was picked 24th in the WNBA draft last year - also won gold in the skills contest of the U18 World Cup 2015.

She will join former number 1 player in the world Caroline Hériaud, Assitan Koné and Marie Mané on the French roster.
