Guangzhou (2016 FIBA 3x3 World Championships) Santana struck gold for Romania at the Shoot-Out Contest of the 2016 FIBA 3x3 World Championships in Guangzhou, China, on 15 October.
After starting the contest 0 for 5, the 3x3 legend caught fire and converted the last two money balls. He finished with 10 points, just one more than Spanish sharpshooter Paula Palomares, who won silver.
20-year-old Natalie Romeo collected bronze after scoring her 6 points faster than 18-year-old Tanalp Sengün (Turkey).
