ASTANA (2016 FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships) - Weronika Nowakowska won gold in the shoot-out contest of the 2016 FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan on 5 June.
The diminutive Nowakowska (1.69m) scored 9 points in the final, including one of the moneyballs from the end of the 3x3 court.
Hamish McDonald (New Zealand) struck silver and Robert Füzi (Hungary) collected bronze. Ze Wen Zhou (China) finished fourth.
