LAUSANNE (2015 FIBA 3x3 World Tour) - The FIBA 3x3 World Tour is back on 28-29 August in Switzerland and we look at 10 reasons to follow the Lausanne Masters on FIBA 3x3's official YouTube channel.
1. TALENT: 8 of the top 12 players in the world are in Lausanne, including two former number 1 players in the world, Ljubljana’s Blaz ‘Birdman’ Cresnar and Trbovlje’s Simon Finzgar aka ‘The Sphinx’
2. SLAUGHTERING SLOVENIANS: Lausanne has been the capital of Slovenia the last two seasons with back-to-back 100% Slovenian finals. This year again, three Slovenians will be competing. Can anyone out here put an end to this total domination?
3. AFRICAN FIRST: Team Tunis will be the first African team to play at the World Tour in 2015 and feature two players who represented Tunisia at the FIBA 3x3 World Championships in Moscow, Russia last year. Will they be the first African team to play at the World Tour Final?
4. AMAZING ATMOSPHERE: Lausanne, the otherwise quiet Olympic capital, turns into the most heated arena for two nights each year. And for the first time here a Swiss team representing the city of Lausanne will play. It may seem crazy but Swiss trains might be late on Sunday morning.
5. NEED FOR SPEED: You will see a lot of talented players in Lausanne but none with a quicker first step than Team Vilnius dragster Ovidijus Varanauskas.
6. CHEERLEADERS: The second quickest first step at the event belongs to them, Personal Plus, the gorgeous cheerleaders coming straight out of the Canary Islands.
7. DUNKS: Kristaps Dargais might be the most improved dunker of the year and Rafal 'Lipek' Lipinski is only the 3-time FIBA 3x3 World Tour Dunk Champ. This could be the best dunk contest of the season.
8. FINAL: Find out who will win the next two tickets to join Novi Sad Al Wahda, Manila North, Kranj, Kolobrzeg, Doha and Ljubljana at the World Tour Final in Abu Dhabi
